Sheila Noll, PCBB Joins ICBA Digital Assets Subcommittee

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — April 3, 2024 — PCBB is proud to announce that Sheila Noll, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, has been elected to serve on the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) Digital Assets Subcommittee. The Digital Assets Subcommittee is a newly formed panel of experts who will examine and deliberate on issues related to Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and digital monetary assets, such as cryptocurrency, and their impact on community banking.

As an initial member of the new Subcommittee, Sheila, an experienced member of the Faster Payments Council and other payments associations nationwide, will be instrumental in working with other committee members to recommend guidance for community banks on how to navigate the digital currency space. The new subcommittee will meet for the first time in late April to begin their work.

“It’s truly an honor to be chosen to join this new committee with ICBA,” says Sheila. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to represent community banks and help guide them through the possibilities of the digital assets space.”

Having served on various industry boards and committees during her career, Sheila is passionate about being a thought leader in payment strategies for community banks.  Since joining PCBB last year, Sheila has continued her commitment to the success of community banks in the payments space that matches PCBB’s own dedication to helping community banks serve local small businesses.

“Sheila is an esteemed civic leader and dedicated community banker, generously contributing her time to champion and advance the crucial role of community banks within our financial system,” said ICBA Chairman Lucas White, president of the Fountain Trust Co. in Covington, Indiana.
