Summary Job Description:
The Head of Advisory Data Operations leads data operations for Advisory Services across Profitability FIT, CECL FIT, Stress Testing FIT, and related tools, workflows, and client delivery. The role is accountable for effective, scalable, high‑quality data operations, including direct oversight of the Advisory Services data operations team. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position serves as the senior functional leader for Advisory Services data operations, process design, operating controls, and cross‑functional execution with technology partners. It may also lead or support data operations, data readiness, and reporting for new Advisory Services products and internal analytics initiatives, ensuring reliable data transformation and high‑quality delivery.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Data Operations Leadership:
  • Lead Advisory Services data operations across Profitability FIT, CECL FIT, Stress Testing FIT, and related tools, workflows, and client delivery processes.
  • Establish and oversee the operating model for client data intake, transformation, validation, processing, maintenance, reporting, and delivery across Advisory Services.
  • Own the design, standardization, governance, and continuous improvement of data operations processes, controls, and service levels to improve efficiency, accuracy, quality, and scalability.
  • Ensure data transformation across source systems, ETL and transformation tools, intermediate data structures, and end-user applications functions as intended and supports accurate downstream outputs in Profitability FIT, CECL FIT, and Stress Testing FIT.
  • Oversee resolution of complex data issues, processing exceptions, control gaps, and client delivery risks across the Advisory Services data environment.
2. Technology and Framework Enablement:
  • Partner closely with IT, data engineering, developers, and other internal stakeholders to design and implement new frameworks, tools, workflows, and operating capabilities for Advisory Services data operations.
  • Lead or support data operations for new Advisory Services products and internal analytics, including data sourcing, transformation, validation, controls, and coordination with business, technology, and product stakeholders to ensure accurate, ready, and effectively delivered data.
  •  Translate business requirements into scalable operational and systems requirements that improve automation, control, data lineage, usability, and delivery quality.
  • Lead business oversight of process redesign, systems enhancements, ETL logic changes, data transformation frameworks, testing, and user acceptance activities impacting Advisory Services data operations.
  • Ensure new tools and process changes are adopted effectively and supported by appropriate documentation, training, controls, and performance monitoring.

3. Client Relationship Management and Cross-Functional Coordination
  •  Ensure Advisory Services data operations consistently support accurate, timely, and high-quality client deliverables and contractual commitments across products.
  • Partner with Advisors and client-facing teams to align data operations capabilities, timelines, issue resolution, and service expectations.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex client data, transformation, implementation, and delivery matters.
  • Establish reporting and metrics for operational performance, quality, throughput, timeliness, and delivery risk across the function.
4. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the Advisory Services data operations function.
  • Set team structure, role clarity, staffing plans, and operating priorities to support current delivery needs and future scale.
  • Exercise management responsibility for hiring, performance management, coaching, development, succession planning, and staffing decisions.
  • Provide senior guidance and escalation support on complex operational, client, staffing, and control matters.
5. Quality Assurance, Compliance and Security:
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards, operating controls, and governance practices to support data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and traceability.
  • Ensure data handling activities align with internal policies, client requirements, information security expectations, and applicable regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor operational risk, process exceptions, and control performance, and implement corrective actions and preventive improvements as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, procedures, audit support, and evidence of controls for data operations processes and key transformations.
Skills Required: 
  • Advanced knowledge of data operations, data transformation, ETL concepts, process controls, and reporting workflows in a financial services or banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bank core systems (Fiserv, Jack Henry, and FIS), including mapping, transformation, and operational use of core system data.
  • Strong understanding of spreadsheet-based and database-based operational processes, including Excel, Access, SQL, and MySQL.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives with IT, data engineering, and application development teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently and manage through ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to build scalable processes, improve operational quality, and manage multiple high-priority deliverables.
  • Experience with bank core system conversions and complex data migrations.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, information security, and regulatory expectations applicable to banking data operations.
  • Experience leading managers and multi-product operations teams.
  • Experience supporting Profitability, CECL, stress testing, asset liability management, or related banking analytics a plus.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in data operations, banking data management, financial services operations, or a related field.
  • Strong experience leading teams, managing supervisors, and owning operational outcomes in a complex delivery environment.
