Trade Desk Analyst (FI Derivatives)

Department: Hedging Products
Location: Walnut Creek, California
Reports to: Managing Director, Hedging Products


Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Support a team of high-performing product specialists to identify business opportunities and optimize product performance/engagement
  • Communicate product strategy and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare interest rate swap quote packages and marketing presentations
  • Analyze credit approval memos for compliance with key risk and credit parameters
  • Prepare counterparty credit approval requests for trade desk transactions
  • Perform high level review of legal documents to ensure the required sections are complete
  • Structure and price interest rate swap transactions
  • Partner with major business units (Marketing, Sales, and Operations) to support work-flows
  • Support derivatives trade desk with customer data analysis and research on mortgage markets
  • Provide backup support for transaction execution and documentation
  • Create automated dashboards and data visualizations to track key business metrics
  • Analyze and mine both structured and unstructured data to drive product development
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects related to job function

  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and ability to review loan presentations
  • Bloomberg terminal knowledge is a plus

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics preferred
  • Banking, Finance, Credit and/or CRE mortgage related work experience of at least four years in lieu of a college degree
  • Derivatives and/or Fixed Income trade desk experience preferred
  • Call Report data analysis preferred
