Description of Job Duties:

The Senior Consultant, Advisory Services will support the growth of PCBB’s advisory services nationwide. This position is responsible for a portfolio of bank clients with senior management level interaction. The Senior Consultant is responsible for the implementation of client models and services, and ongoing maintenance of models and services. Outstanding commitment to upholding the highest quality standards toward delivering products and services to clients in a timely and professional manner is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client relationships: acquisition, setup, ongoing maintenance including understanding client needs and data
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate complex technical results to non-quantitative audiences under a variety of scenarios
  • Support the development and testing of models and processes
  • Anticipate clients’ business problems and provide relevant advice
  • Provide ongoing thought leadership for PCBB’s client base
  • Maintain current knowledge on regulatory and accounting rules that impact ALLL, IRR, capital and liquidity
  • Develop new client contacts for business growth
  • Attend client meetings and stay current with industry trends
  • Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to existing clients
  • Develop an understanding of client’s business becoming a “functional expert”
  • Assist clients with regulatory exams and third party audit preparations, and support client in discussions with regulators and auditors on results
  • In conjunction with sales staff, provide specialist product knowledge in client presentations for multiple risk products

Education/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree, FRM and/or CPA preferable
  • Functional working knowledge of GAAP and regulatory guidance with respect to:
    • Interest Rate Risk/ALM
    • ALLL (both Incurred and Expected models)
    • Liquidity analysis and stress testing
    • Credit analysis and stress testing
    • Capital planning
  • Quantitative knowledge in rate, prepayment and cash flow models
  • Experience with business intelligence and modeling software
  • Experience with model validation and governance
  • Ability to prepare understandable presentations on highly technical subjects
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work under own initiative
  • Excellent public speaking skills a must
  • Ability to travel 25%
