Financial Analyst

Reports to: SVP, Advisory Services


Description of Job Duties

The Financial Analyst is part of the Advisory Services team. This position is first in line to support client calls. This position will troubleshoot and resolve application and data questions with clients while establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship. The analyst needs a working knowledge of accounting, finance and web-based application concepts to provide superior client support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Solves introductory to moderately complex client questions, coordinates with others as needed
  • New client setup including the analysis of client data structures
  • Perform ongoing operations of models
  • Review client assumptions for continued applicability
  • Review model results for accuracy
  • Prepare and update client documentation
  • Maintain excellent business relationship with clients
  • Provide ongoing training and advisory support to client banks
  • Identify and drive process improvement
  • Remains up to date on all supported technology and regulatory guidance
  • Demonstrates advisory solutions to future and existing clients

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Functional working knowledge of FASB and regulatory expectation regarding CECL/ALLL, relationship profitability and loan portfolio stress testing
  • Solid track record of supporting complex accounting or other financial systems
  • Solid track record of providing superior client service in technical help desk or accounting environment
  • Experience operating financial models with an emphasis on ALM software
  • Experience in maintaining proper model governance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of client management
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including analyzing and synthesizing of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years working experience in financial and/or ALM models
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; SQL or MySQL experience preferred
  • Banking or Credit Union experience a plus
